I am a firm believer that you should repark/refinish only when the material condition of the weapon is in question (i.e. rust, excessive wear, etc). Yes, a shooter is just a shooter, but USGI is still a USGI. Remember from a collector standpoint, individual parts have value themselves. Even with your weapon being a "parts gun", you will loose the value of the individual parts once you put modern repark on them.
