Hello members
I am new to this site! I enjoy restoring and collecting military and antique firearms. My collection is small but is growing. I am sure I will enjoy communicating with all of you.

Hello, before I depress you all with my Bio, I'll say that I like Lee Enfield Rifles
. Probably because they are a little quirky (rear lockup, easily changeable bolts, etc). Well, Hornady has just begun to make "Vintage Match" ammunition in 303 British
. Do any of you think that this will increase the number of people shooting Lee Enfields in "Vintage Military Rifle Matches"?
Now my bio. About six years ago I was just getting re-interested in shooting (as a kid, I spent many days plinking away air rifles). Just for grins, decided to start with a couple of the least expensive new rifle/carbines (a 9mm carbine and a 7.62x39 Saiga) to see what kind of accuracy I could tweak out of them. Soon afterwards, I got a crippling back injury and can barely sit or stand, much less shoot.. I was an mechanical and environmental engineer, and now often read forums like this to keep my mind busy.
Ironically ust before and after I got hurt, I added to my collection an unissued Lee Enfield No.4 MK2, an Ishapore 2A1, and some new Winchester Model 94 30-30's that I have been unable to shoot. I hope to shoot at least a couple of my rifles one day.
Thank you folks for having a site with so much historic and technical information about firearmans.
