1950 93L1516 C Mk 3 sight, rifle and barrel appears blued
1950 92L7719 C Mk 3 sight, rifle and barrel appears blued.
To be honest, I really can't tell. I've looked at them several times, next to my 1944 and 1945 examples, and sometimes I think they are parkerized, because the finish is VERY slightly rougher, and then next time, I'm certain they're blued. They are not green. Barrels seem to be the same as the receivers.

Had a '50 Long Branch mailed to me today. Bubba has sanded and glossed up the stock but the metal, which is completely blued, seems largely unused. The barrel is stamped '50 as well. The s/n on this one is 92L32XX. It has a brit magazine, stamped with the s/n and with a finish not nearly as nice as the rest of the rifle, so I am assuming it may well have been in Greek hands at some time. I have a new Canadian "L" butt in waiting and I will have to remove the shiny finish from the forend and the handguards, but all in all it should turn out nice...

I have a number of examples of the brown patina magazines you discribe. I believe they are correct for the 1950 dated Long Branch rifles. I've seen too many to be replacements or Greek.

I have a 92L 1950 longbranch that I just bought. It still had cosmoline in the firing pin. NEver been used, and it looks like it's grey parkerized. There are no import marks. It is all Canadian stamped. Did I get an FTR rifle? I sure hope not, because I didn't pay for an FTR rifle. Anyone else have a 92L grey parker longbranch?

1950 94L705X, can't really say if barrel is '50 or '51 since the second digit is only partially stamped......I'd guess it's a '50, looks like parked, blue, blue. All LB parts.

Hi,
I have a 1950 longbranch I brought it new from Marstar, years ago. It's blue black, C No4 MK1*91L8478. Hope that helps,

Just got a prety darn pristine 1950 Long Branch..serial # 94L7***, action, barrel parked, only number on barrel is 35, rest of hardware appears 'blued'. It sports a flip up sight with a marking that I've never seen before, appears to be a U and a G intertwined in an oval. I would almost say this was unissued, if that's possible. Rifle is beautiful, save for some storage bumps in the wood. There is an H carved/stamped on the left side of the forestock, any ideas as to what that is?

hi,
I've already given you my serial # 01LB8478, 1950 NO4 mk1*, but for other info, barrel is 1950, all parts are blued. Mag is a re-numbered item, sight is a Cmk 3.
