    Enfield Marking on 1925 lithgow?

I bought a 1925 Lithgowicon. It has been modified a little. Does anyone know the origins of this mark? (IWW or MMI) Once I recieve it I will post more pictures.

From previous topics on this forum I believe Its the Germanicon Importers mark "Waffen Frankonia Würzburg".

I have seen it on a few No4s that I have had recently

    Simon,
Thanks. I believe you are right. It must have been a sport rifle in germany then sold at some point and imported here after 1968 because of the import mark on the right side. They may have records and I may give it a try E-Mailing them on some history.
    Regards

    3mctoledo,

I think Frankonia, is or was the equivalent to something like cabela,s and IMA combined.
looks like an untouched rifle and not many made that year.
