Bayonet Book: 200 Years of Australian Military Rifles & Bayonets, Ian D. Skennerton
Just got a hardbound copy of this on ebay for $25. It is worthwhile owning? Seemed a very fare price and I do have one Australian
rifle, no bayonets at this point.

It is a good book. Not my favorite author but it is accurate.

Book came today and it is nice, more so for the rifles than the bayonets. The bayonet section is only a few pages long although they are usually also pictured with the rifle they were issued with. All photos are black and white and while acceptable could have been sharper. My rifle is included, I wasn't sure if it would be as it is a 310 cadet. I learned that these were actually issued during WWII to the Volunteer Defense Force. It is smaller than I imagined it would be. Each rifle variation has it's own page, is shown in a photo with the bayonet underneath or beside and then the rest of the page is the description. I'm pleased with the purchase.
