k98 date help!

I've been trying to find a date and manufacturer on my Yugo icon

capture k98. the Serial number is J18552 but the manufacturing code has been removed. Can anybody help me with this or is there any way to even find out?

Probably not. The date was stamped on the receiver ring on nearly all K98 icon

's. If it was removed there's just no way to tell. Even the serial number would be different for each manufacturer so without knowing who manufactured it, you can't even look it up that way based on the serial number.
