1892 Berthier artillery carbine, manufactured 1913, matching.
Here is my newly acquired 1892 Berthier artillery carbine, all matching numbers. Stock matches as well, carouche reads 'Novembre 1913'. Barrel shows date of 1913 as well. Stock has been cut at the end. Would like to know what kind of end cap would be correct for this one. Still has the slot for the cleaning rod. Do not think the rod thats with it is correct. Its pictured with my M1877 canteen. Enjoy!

Would have to think it's the regular old end cap for the carbines. The French
didn't change them even after eliminating the cleaning rod.:

Only useful photo in the files so far. (Both of my carbines have had the Post-WWI improvements.)

Cleaning rod is not correct. Original cleaning rods have a brass tip.
