    Another Newbie.

Hi, I am just joining this Forum but am not new to collecting. Mainly early revolvers but am now moving into early rifles. My latest being a Martini Henry Mk II.

Looking forward to learning more and enjoying the Craic.

    Intro

Hi all. I love running down history on my older firearms, so I thought this would be a great community to be involved with. I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan with the Army, and have a battlefield pickup Lee-Enfield that I'm working on ID'ing as my current project.

If you're an Enfield guy/gal, I'm going to put all the detail in that room. Please check it out!

new member and 1903 magazine question

Hi, I'm a new member in Seattle. I collect some of the war rifles and am member of Wash. Arms Collector. I like shooting rocks in our local gravel pit. I recently bought a 1903 03-A3 Remington made in about 1944 and had trouble loading ammo. The rounds wouldn't go down in the magazine very smoothly. I looked and noticed there is an indent in the magazine on the left side that the follower hits when trying to load it. I can move the follower to the right and it will load okay. No problem on feeding. Then I went to remove the magazine and discovered an issue with the forward screw. When I turn it left to loosen it loosens for 90 degrees and then re-tightens and won't come out. What's with that. Your efforts replying are greatly appreciated.

Greetings. I've been interested in old firearms for quite some time. Been living here in NC for 11 years now. Certainly makes collecting a whole lot easier than up in NY, where I spent far too many years in frozen and oppressive misery.
