Another question, does the resizing die completely remove the crimp.?
Thanks in advance...
The Lee Nagant dies roll crimp. The funny Nagant crimps on the gas seal ammo straighten when you shoot them.

Roger that,
I haven't really looked into heavy but it looks to me nobody makes a die that will get you the gas seal,, bummer.

The gas seal is made when the cartridge is forced into the chamber when the cylinder goes forward. When the cartridge is fired, the case expands to the walls of the barrel creating the seal. Has nothing to do with a crimp but the length of the case. If the case is too short, there will be no seal

I know how it all works I was hoping the lee die made the cases look "factory new". After some research I realize nobody makes Nagant specific dies.

I use the M95 dies to load Nagant gas seal brass. You just need to remove the decapping rod in the sizing die to size them. My barrel slugs .312 i an using 90gr .314 home cast bullets. To use .308 bullets i think you would need to use a M1
carbine sizing die. I seat the bullets as far as deep as i can using a screw for a sizing stem per Lee. To finish seating the bullet all the way in the case i switch to a sizing stem from a Lee .309 sizing kit as a seating stem in the Nagant seating die it fits and works great. You can put a Nagant style crimp on Nagant or 32-20 brass using a M1 carbine FCD.

I would have liked the original style soft wood grips; the Bakelite are 'new' with very sharp edges that quickly irritate your hand.
