I have got one in .30 M1 carbine, its been proofed just need to configure the magazine arrangement. I'm building this one up to look like a No5.

This one came out of an action house and was described as a .303 Barrelled Action & bolt, barrel shortened.

It wouldn't take a .303 cartridge, so I took a chamber cast and it was .30M1, so all the hard work had already been done.

Its now all safely proofed for .30M1

I don't know about an easy way, just had to change the clutch in the MGB, it was engine out in the end, all because the thrust bearing decided to give up on me.
