Wait a minute.!!! Are you saying that wasn't part of the
Russian
proofing of 91/30s for service?
Nonsense sir.!! nonsense....
If it was not it most certainly was for the Chinese 53s. Along with a long swamp soak.

Glad you found a nice one. I still check them out when I'm up there but the condition has been pretty bad for the past few shipments. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

yea they are most deff picking from the bottom of the barrel or pallet now i agree but if you get there at right time , you can get lucky there once in a while .A near mint bored 40 tula with 99% of the original blueing imtact is getting hard to find , i run into to lot of izzys but the tula,s seem to be getting harder to find in any shape ,so yea i figured i got lucky it was still there the rhe rest on the rack had all been counter bored and beat up. Did need a stock
swap out but those lmainated stocks are real eye catchers at times. I sold the stock came on it on ebay so i have 80 bucks plus the price of the laminated stock in it .Ill get a few pics of her.

Well, they are on sale there now for 129.99. I just picked up a nice 1932 Tula hex receiver. No accessories though on mine (and it was the only hex, and one of only two Tula's), although most of them there at least had the bayonet (not mine). Most of them looked real rough stock-wise, but the metal was in decent to very good condition. This was at the Richfield WI store.
I still have all the accessories from my first one, bubba-ed unfortunately (although it was very nicely bubba-ed
), that was given to a good friend. I will not be doing that to this one, it stays as is.

I got three Mosins from Aimsurplus for 79.00 in a post Christmas sale. One was a Hex Receiver. Luck of the draw I guess - refurb'ed nice shape them all.

Just put hex receiver one on layaway at the Cabala's here in Maine the price was $129. Looked pretty good with a decent bore. They had a rack full of them all for the same price plus one sniper for if I remember right $450.

Classic Firearms has them for $99.99. Local gun store here has them at $149 still packed in cosmoline
too. I'd do some shopping around. $200 is too much.
