    Inland,
It is my understanding that all of the M1A1icon stocks, even the post-war replacements, were manufactured without the M2 cut. I couls sure be wrong about this. There is a ton of data on the WWII produced stocks, but not much that I can find on post-war or Korean-era SA replacement stocks.
    Frank,
The gentleman I bought this from claims it is in fact a early 60s DCM sold stock. I have purchased some other parts from him. They are pristine. Additionally, he has a '62 released Winchester carbine that is right as rain, with the paperwork. In short, I have to believe him as he has been quite honest in my other dealings with him. I just wish I could find someone else who has a known/proven post-war replacement stock that was purchased from DCM on the early 60s also for comparison.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Good morning George, I don't doubt the gentleman's claim that he bought the M1A1icon stock from DCM back in the 60's. I have also seen quite a few DCM carbines still in the boxes with the paperwork. Typically $17.50 for the carbine and $2.50 for shipping right to your door. I love those old advertisements. We have seen them on the forum here from the back issues of "Guns & Ammo" and other magazines from that time period. They also advertised lots of different parts, bayonets, magazines, ammunition, and stocks. I know the DCM sold surplus parts and such back then. I just have not seen a G.I. M1A1 stock sold by the DCM. But, it would be interesting to see one. Best Regards.....Frank
