    Hello to all

I just joined this forum after "lurking" for a few days to see how it works, although I have been on the CMPicon forum for a while. I am new to M1icon's, having received my first one about 18 months ago.
I have three M1 Garands, a Springfield Armory, a Harrington and Richardson,
and a Winchester, which I just got from CMP. Haven't shot the Winnie yet, it's still in pieces from the strip and clean. The stock is looking pretty good after a LOT of elbow grease and steam. Three coats of PURE Tung oil.
I'm a tung oil guy. IMHO, its a it's better finish then BLOicon, and besides, it tastes a whole lot better!
Next on the list is an IHC, after I work alot more OT!

    Hello All;
Yes I am an addict, I have read and posted on CSPicon for years, and wish to
thank the Major and MS. Goloria for keeping a smile on my face for years.
I also have High Hopes and Expectations for this new endeavor, a lot of
this is contribution, and people such as John Holbrook , Larry Marine, the
regulars on the Political column Keep us aware of the Carnage being done to
our republic, most of these men have stood and continue to stand vigil to
protect our Country and keep it a free Republic.
I have enjoyed and been in awe of US firearms since a child and absolutely
love Springfields, M-1 Garands and Colt 45's , I dont think that these
weapons will ever be replaced by anything much better or even equal and
will call on Time and History as my first witness.
We all need to keep up the good work that was done on CSP for this to Suceed.
    John D. Kopke USCG 1961-1967.

    Hello to All.

I'm a new member and just getting used to this board. I can already see that there are many knowledgeable folks here to learn from.

About 5 years ago I started my second milsurp collection. I sold my first when I got married many years ago.

Collecting is fun, but shooting the collection is what I love. Also my wife enjoys shooting too and can hold her own with the best of them.

    See ya around!

I am Not a fan of all the USMC Baloney on this site. It is a Huge turn off to read all of These posts about what the Mighty and indefatigable USMC can and will do to the enemy. As an Active duty Soldier, I have the experience to prove to me that the USMC is the most undisciplined, Most god-awful "fighting force". In Theater. I would rather have the National Guard as a battle buddy, I really think it is a case of too much PR. Which the USMC is full of. Take it as you get it. I am sure that this will bring all kind of bad stuff on me because I am am nothing but a "dog faced soldier with a rifle on my shoulder" And I carry whatever rifle My goverment gives me.
