Webley .455 ammo
I just got my first Webley in the original .455 and am looking for some ammo for it. I know it is not the most common stuff in the world. I was just wondering what are the best places to look for it? I check MidwayUSA and the are out of stock. Any other places to look?

If you are a "hard-core" reloader, you can make cases from .45 Colt (revolver) brass and find a suitable bullet mould.
Cheap as chips and lots of fun.
Now you need a Webley-Fosberry.......

No need. Fiocchi and Hornady make (or at least used to make!) 455 cases. And regardless of the calibre designation, 452 lead (NOT jacketed) bullets are fine in these cases. Try bullets with a BH of 10-12, max 15. They will obturate to fit the bore in the forcing cone. There is no need to squeeze in unnecessarily large bullets that merely cause extra swaging work in the forcing cone and extra stress on the frame!

I've used rimmed 45 auto cases with the rims thinned and also 45 LC cases. Both cases need to be cut to the length of the 455 case. I failed to do that with the 45 rimed case and found I had to tilt back the revolver before firing each time so the powder would lie against the primer to get proper ignition and accuracy. Ray

Found a box of Fiocchi .450 short (corto) yesterday at a local shop (and promptly purchased it for the Webley Bulldog). Surely, there's some Fiocchi .455 still floating about!
