1950 Long Branch Oiler
What would be the correct oiler for a 1950
LB? The Black, gray or clear plastic type, or does it not matter. Thanks

The rifle wasn't issued* with a cleaning kit so it wouldn't matter a toss!
One of the real experts is going to get really nerdy and pedantic here so I'll elaborate. 700 rifles issued to unit coming back from Germany. So there will be 500 bayonets, 500 scabbards 500 pullthroughs, oil bottles cleaning kit tins etc etc

Know a British soldier who served in WW II. He said they would remove the spoon from the oiler and use the body to store matches because it was water proof. They had both plastic and brass, but preferred brass since it did not break. I would think that in Korea the same philosophy would have applied.
