Kevin! I can't access my e copies but the drawings of the plastic furniture , would the measurements for the exterior be identical to the ones for the wooden versions? Would they be useful to anyone wanting to make the wooden ones from scratch?
Mind if someone's got the drawings for the wood....

Cheers Kevin
I've found a disc of DD(E)s but this stupid new to us computer only lets me open them as previews. I did discover I have the drawing for the Mk I butt DD(E) 1631 sheets one and two, which is dimensioned.
And tabbing along theres DD(E) 2274 which covers the two piece MK I bakerlite Butt, and 2302 which covers the Mk I barrel carrying handle grip, 2234 for fitting the marking disk to the butt, 2298 the plastic two piece pistol grip...
What else? DDESK 406 for the inserts into the neck of the MK I Butt, a weird preposed second butt handle mounting that was to be fitted to the wood so the original mounting could be used on the tripod while the handle was still on.
I still can't find the drawings for the Indian M1919A4 tripod rip off but did find them for the Indian Para tripod mounting.
With tHe DD(E) mumbers can you find them and send them on? Sorry I can't do it direct at the moment until the smegging computer is sorted.

Has anyone- or KevG - got 100 Mk2 gas cylinders before I detail how to convert either a), gun body to take Mk1 type as per the L4A3 and 5 or b), convert Mk1 type to adapt to fit Mk2 guns

On the subject that started the thread...... Am I missing something due to my age or that memory loss disease that I've forgotten the name of.... but is there really any point in re-manufacturing Mk2 pistol grips when there's two simple, readily available and achieveable answers already here, before our very eyes? And as a result of these suggestions, we now know from photo KG that the Mk2 bolts are available too, albeit in small quantities.

I would like to know how to convert them. I think TomH would too.
Is it the same for the Mk3 guns?

Is converting a Mk1 cylinder to fit a Mk2 gun the same process for the Mk3 gun?

No conversion needed as you don't need to do anything to actually FIT a Mk1 gas cylinder to a Mk3 gun. They are both the threaded sort. Indeed, the first Mk3 guns were fitted with Mk1 gas cylinders (but not for long I hasten to add!). This is where I was confused.
The Mk2 guns had the press-fit gas cylinder and ain't not interchangeable with the Mk1 (or 3) guns
