Kids!!!! Just don't appreciate all that tender, loving care and dedication on the assembly line building all those "correct grades"! Well, at least most of 'em made it home because of it!

A friend of mine, now long passed away, told me they would come in from the field, strip down and walk into the showers with there M1
's. he said the washed there M1's first, then their body's. after that all the rifles came apart, keeping the right bolt to the reciever. then everybody took a part to clean. when it was all done, you just went down the line of clean parts and got what you needed to assemble your rifle. he said they never had a problem.
