Hello all, retired CF member, recently getting back into firearms as a hobby. Hoping to have an interesting time and some good discussions on blackpowder.

    Hello Everyone,

My name is Fred and I am from Hinton, Alberta (near Jasper).
I am posting because I have received a .303 cal from Ontario that used to belong to my dad; who passed away many years ago.

I have questions, that maybe someone can answer.
I would like to know any history about this rifle.
It is an E.A.L. and looks more like a sporting rifle than military.
The rifle is in great condition, with one problem, the bolt is missing.
I would like to get it replaced to make it functional, but do not know where to start?

Any help would be appreciated.... Fred.

    Introduction

I am new to this forum having previously been a denizen of Culvericon's forum. I have a modest collection of WWII rifles and similar. My firearms training background is that many years ago, I was a member of the Canadianicon Militia (3rd battalion, Queens Own Rifles) and have always been interested in military history and firearms. I am also a semi-retired federal Public Servant

Hey Badger, what do I need to do support-wise to help Dick & Gloria to get a Culvericon fund supporter.

    Thumbs up Maniac back

    Hi all . .
I too was a resident of CSPicon forums who is just now getting switched over to here. I see our post count starts at 0 but it's not like I'm long on advice because I've only been dabbling in M1icon Garands & M1 Carbines for 4-5 years. I gained a lot of knowledge and entertainment & a few good deals from the CSP Want To Sell forum as well as some good friends and hope to do the same here. See ya around!
