Vincent,
Is the George Reigns Lee Enfield another question per chance to keep us on our toes for the weekend?
'Tonight my men and I have been through hell and back again, but the look on your faces when we let you out of the hall - we'd do it all again tomorrow.' Major Chris Keeble's words to Goose Green villagers on 29th May 1982 - 2 PARA

Often found on No. 1 Mk III's, Model 1917 pistols, some M-1 Carbines. The odd No. 4; from my experience these are scarce. May be others, as well.

To be more precise, our Gendarmerie in Kärnten used them. They were under British occupation after WWII and were given the SMLE rifles. These rifles are quite scarce, I often wonder how they managed to get to the US.
€dit: Gendarmerie were the Austrian police forces outside citites. They were fusioned with the police in 2005.
