Attachment 67572A tragic incident brought on by criminal rules of engagement. The gate to those barracks should have been covered by a quad 50 and three guys with LAWs. Try driving your bomb truck past this guy.

I saw a documentary on a building in the US I cannot remember what it houses was not Fort Knox but I know it had mini guns in turrets atop the structure bit like a CISW set up for the antiship missiles they gave a demo of the system on a range and well lets say they had plenty of ammo and chewed the targets up. Wish I could remember the building or the name of the documentary

The 1958 Lebanon crisis was a Lebanese political crisis caused by political and religious tensions in the country that included a U.S. military intervention. The intervention lasted around three months until President Camille Chamoun, who had requested the assistance, completed his term as president of Lebanon. American and Lebanese government forces successfully occupied the port and international airport of Beirut. The crisis over, the United Statesicon withdrew shortly after.

The Beirut Barracks Bombings (October 23, 1983, in Beirut, Lebanon) occurred during the Lebanese Civil War when two truck bombs struck separate buildings housing United States and Frenchicon military forces—members of the Multinational Force (MNF) in Lebanon—killing 299 American and French servicemen. An obscure group calling itself 'Islamic Jihad' claimed responsibility for the bombings

I recall a story that the SEALS in Beirut would covertly drive around the city transmitting on a couple frequency's
Seems the bad guy's at the time were fairly consistent in building their explosive device triggers on them.
The apparent "accident" accounted for at least one bomb factory
