I am asking the person in charge of the disposal for their permission to pass on the DVD that I was sent with the hope it can be uploaded to a gallery. Cannot say a lot more at the moment. Had hoped to see it this Oct but that will not be possible.

Kidding.......? But you are 100% correct. It's been said that you ought to read some firearms books out of sheer curiosity of what you'll be told next! I mean, how many times have you heard that the Bren was too accurate or the Sten was made from bed frame tube and cost 35p
But on the Q of the Mk5, it's a bit of a hobby horse of mine. We had a lot of info about these as the trials were instigated and controlled by the SASC (as was) from Hythe and there was a bit of paperwork there that I could put my hands on PLUS several original and untouched rifles. I used to bang on to the L-E visitors about it but how many took up my offer of free and total access to research it?
Pity that. I can think of one obvious candidate for the job.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928
Much changes, much remains the same.

I have a No1 Mk5 recently acquired. It needs a rear sight. Of course. Also not sure if I will keep or sell. Time will tell.

If you place a WTB here in the correct forum, you will likely get a response with the correct sight. I just sold one last Oct...that I found here.

Thanks, not sure if I want to sell it. However I was wondering if anyone has fabricated the rear sights from a pattern 14 or 1917.

WTB = Want to BUY
WTS = Want to SELL
He suggested you to place a "want to BUY" ad for a No. 1 Mk.V rear sight, so in case someone has a spare one can offer it to you

You can get repros. P14 sight is way off you might as well start from scratch.
