I'm amassing the rifles from every army from post Civil War to Korea. Can't really specialize too much. I have three Finns, a M38, an M39 and an 1891. I really like the M39 and if given the chance would probably pick up another variation of that one.
I don't have all the Finns...as noted by Eaglelord.
I've got models of many cartridge type military rifles, although recently I've started selling off some of the black powder cartridge rifles. Recently sold a Russian
Berdan II Dragoon and a French
Gras. Decided that I would probably shoot neither and could use the money and safe space on something else.
Have quite a few holes in the South American contract Mauser collection, along with some of the Asian military rifles.

No Finn collection is complete without a M31 Suomi.Get a Suomi if only in kit form & build a demil. You could go broke just buying bayonets for that family.
Just an opionion.

Forgot about the Suomi. I have one of those that has been sitting for a while. Need to send out the trigger assembly and the bolt to get them machined for semi-auto. Heavy chunk of steel right now.

I like the Suomi, but getting one in Cali could be problematic. Do they make 10 round magazines for them?

When you buy a kit it isn't even a firearm so not sure what the magazine requirement for you would be. I don't even remember if a magazine came with the kit, I seem to recall buying a drum magazine separate at the time. They torch cut the receivers in two places. Back when these kits were plentiful, you could get new receivers (semi-auto) but that supply seems to have dried up. Another possibility was a kit to re-weld the receivers but I don't think you can find those anymore either. But it's been a while since I looked. I got a receiver off of Gunbroker. Another more problematic issue is the length of the barrel so you either need to get a longer barrel, weld an extension onto it or get a license for it.

California magazine issue is all-pervasive...no "ammunition feeding devices" over 10 rounds unless they were owned prior to 2000.

Nice Finns, indeed, Claven. Those are both special. I've got a 1968 "sneak" M39, but as you correctly note, no straight stock M39.
I've got a number of M91's, including two of the "VKT/B" barrel Liege proofed versions.
