after WWII many countries continued using the British MKII Brodie style helmets, is the paint green or possible a desert tan? because many of these were used by the Israelis and painted a desert tan color.

Could be anything but the markings should be able to tell you who made it. Look up Brodie manufacturers. I picked one up a few months ago that turned out to be Canadian.

Yes Belgium did use these too but I don't think they made their own. They had a bit of everything through time, as you say the Adrian as well. They had a few really neat helmets including a home produced paratroop version that looked much like an M1C or M2 but just a tad smaller in stature. A very compact and serviceable helmet I'd have liked to have worn for service...

I do have a French Adrian helmet and when I tried wearing it I was surprised just how comfortable it felt, for a steel helmet.
