What is the front sight on the top rifle, first picture? Also, the bayonet lug/fore end cap is different on each rifle. Is one machined and one the stamped variety? Regards. Tom

I have Rifle DA238, s/n 38GM, a 1915 production, also stamped M230 by the bolt channel. Along with it is bayonet DA17.

You DA owners might want to post photos of the markings on the buttstocks. Some of these rifles were issued to some pretty famous Canadian
regiments and fought in some quite famous engagments.
For those that are interested in that kind of history.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

Isn't that nice? Odd looking scabbard though.

I have a couple of DA marked Rosses with a scabbard that looks like that. I wonder if they were modified in that fashion for the Chilean
Navy?

Also, I am going to be updating the original table with all the rifles I have been sent information on and the additions. Hope to get that done in the next short while. Quite of few of these old girls out there.

The mouth looks like it's from another bayonet pattern all together.

Kind of like a cut down M1907 scabbard I think.
