Field stripped......... Believe me, they were totally agricultural. But they seemed to work.

Pressings for the body, did they still have to use high grade materials or with the ridges and bends in it did that give it the rigidity enough so they could utilize a cheaper grade plate. TIA

Very nice, looks to be in very good condition. I have had the pleasure of shooting one of the German
reproduction MP44's chambered in the original 7.92 Kurtz on a few occasions, great fun to shoot and very light recoil.

Were these what Brad Pitt was using in Fury? I saw several GIs in the movie using what appeared to be non-US rifles with huge box magazines...

watched it again last night. it was a mp44 , stg44 that Brad was shooting.(best job ive ever had)
