Unit Disk Decoding? Info?
Hey All! Any ideas on how to figure out if this unit disk means anything? Its on a 1911 made LSA Enfield.

Simple acceptance mark. Sometimes they've been so marked up they need reversing.

Looking at it in an Australian
context (as mentioned in the other thread)...there was a 41st Infantry Battalion raised during WWI. 41st Battalion has been used in various incarnations since.

Interesting! I don't see any Australian
marks that I can see. But who knows. It's all a guess at this point!

The broad arrow over 'I' is an Indian Govt acceptance marking.
