Nothing as of yet...ive used BLO
on it last few pieces but had to remove it with mineral spirits and had to stain all 4 wood pieces over with dark walnut stain then wiped down since the forend i ordered was so light after cleaning. The forend took about 3 coats or 4 cant remember letting each coat soak for 15 min then wiping off. So this time i think ill use a finishing wax and NOT BLO
. wasn't really impressed with the BLO before. I used 6 coats of it and after it was dry still felt as if none were on.

mac2017: Looks great! The forend appears to have been previously used. What did you have to do (if anything) in the draws area to achieve a fit?

Turned out fantastic! Well done!
Good job keeping the metal original too leaving the distressed look it should have after 100 years.
