A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. right on sir..
it came with this bayo also, the bayonet has no markings.. if i remember right, i picked this one up in the late 80s at a gun show

I love the irony of Israel using 98Ks. I like to think it was more of a “confiscation” than a “purchase” type thing. History is fun sometimes

The bayonet looks like it is for a FN49, SAFN rifle.

i just cleaned and saved my fn 49 last week, gunna dig it out and try that bayo on it.

and out of my k98s the one in 7.62 is my favorite. if only they could talk, huh boys!
