Israel sold many of those 7.62 Mausers in the early eighties. Bought one myself in 1983 for R 180 [= $168 in 1983]. Still a good shooter out to at least 300m. The action was made in 1944.

Many 98K Mausers were shipped to Israel from the Czechs post WWII also. Mine is an SWP45 most likely sent directly from the factory in BRNO. I doubt it ever saw service with the German
Army.
