US Model 1917 British WWII Lend Lease
The US loaned Britain rifles in WWII. This rifle has the typical Lend Lease marking of a red painted band at the forestock with .30-06 stenciled on the red paint band to indicate the riflek is of a caliber different from the normal .303 British

If they had only adapted the much better US 30-06 in WWI they would have been much better off!

They trialed the P14 in the trenches and found it lack luster in comparison to a Lee Enfield, and there isn't much difference between the P14 and M1917!
