I'm in! Royal Snail did the trick where modern technology (or me) failed.
Filming at both firing point and butts would be a great idea. I wonder if anyone will do it?
We hope to have BBC South there on the day.
An old friend who works as a freelance cameraman, (mainly for the beeb) loves filming this type of event and has promised to pass the relevant information on to the news team.

Mick, thanks for posting the original info, I had a great day out. I tried in vain to hire a WW1 uniform, but couldn't have collected it the day before the match due to being on shift. Did the Beeb camera man make an appearance? I saw the NRA guy filming, but I didn't see a TV crew.
No they didn't get there Chris, my friend who films a lot of things for the BBC was tasked elsewhere on the day.
Apparently they concentrated on community remembrance activities rather then the better things in life like Vickers Machine Guns.
I believe uniform's were in short supply all round due to the weight of activities this year.
Is there any access to the film of this event? Can anyone post it here a common video format? i would LOVE to see this. On a related note what were the pre 1910 rifle targets that were used for this event please? does anyone have pics / specs for them please?
