Stencils for C15 transit chest
Has anybody got the exact dimensions of the original pattern of stencil for the C15 transit chest for the Canadian CNo7 .22 rifle.?
Or even a replica stencil???
I would be so grateful,

Eddie, Do you have the transit chest available? If you can measure the length and height of the side of the the chest, I can scale the photo to 1:1 with my design software and at least give you the height of the letters. You could then have a stencil cut by a shop that does that or buy a stencil kit with the right size letters. (Art supply store or online). Salt Flat

There are tons of custom stencil shops on etsy, having them made would be easy especially if you supply a picture for the font along with the size.
Let us know how this pans out! Maybe you can be our official stencil supplier for future diy'ers!

The chest has at sometime been sanded and repainted, the stencilling is unreadable. I can make a guess to the nearest inch. Equally I can scale up a photo or use a photo to place the marks on the chest and then measure that. But that is all approximate. And that's not what I want.
Hopefully someone will be kind enough to measure a real example for me.

The letters on my C No7 chest are 0.960" high. I hope this helps in finding the right stencils, good luck.

Thank you so much. Can you say what the whole line of writing measures?

Here's a picture of my chest.
The bottom line is about 24.625" long, the letters are 0.960" X 0.600", the bottom of the line is 0.925" from the bottom of the chest and the line is roughly centred on the chest widthwise. The other line above it has the same size letters, is centred on the chest and is 6.75" long and the bottom of the line is 2.25" from the bottom of the chest. I wish you well with your project.
