For anyone who ever wondered, the Periscopic Prism Co.'s premises were at 23 Prince of Wales Crescent, Kentish Town in London, now completely vanished.
Prince of Wales Crescent formed one side of a triangular island piece of land, bounded on the other sides by Prince of Wales Road and Malden Crescent, it intersected with P. of W. Rd at what is now the junction with Harmood Street. No.23 was on the S-E side and by the 1950s the site was occupied by a dairy. By the 1970s this area was very run down and Camden Council decided to demolish and redevelop it, obliterating the street pattern in doing so.
Some pictures of the street as demolition commenced are at Wednesday Picture: squats, creativity and destruction in 1970s West Kentish Town | Kentishtowner
For anyone who wants to see a scanned map at the National Library of Scotland, the grid square is TQ2884NW

Is this the sort of scope you mean?

That's what I have it down as Roger, but I forget now whether that was the scope or just the fitting; remind me?

I'd assumed both scope & mounts were Jeffery, but that may be 'an assumption too far'!

Just a minor clarification from earlier in the thread: IRRC the tube diameter of the PPCo. scopes was not changed, rather some of their mounts were made with enlarged rings to mount 600 or so Aldis No.2 or 3 scopes that were "unattached". Their later Patt.18 scopes were of course smaller in diameter, but never mounted offset as the typical PPCo. and the 600 odd Aldis were.

They were Aldis patterns 3 and 4.

Now I'm with you. And thanks again surpmil for tracking down one of those very same Aldis scopes with the 'enlarged' PPCo rings (they're not just slightly enlarged as they differ in other minor respects as I'm sure you've noticed) for yours truly. I now have it on a suitable rifle.
