Philippine Bolo Bring Back
Here is an interesting one that I forgot to share with the forum when my daughter gave it to me.
My daughter who is a Staff Sgt. in the US Army was sent to the Philippines to Fort Magsaysay where was worked with the Philippine Special Forces during a joint forces training exercise. One of the SF guys that my daughter befriended gave her this Bolo to give to me (there is a story about this), he makes these as a hobby. I have a number of these that I brought back for the Philippine but none as nice as this. I’ve never seen one where the handle is formed out of the tang.

I'm not sure what its made from, but it is razor-sharp. The SF guy who made it told my daughter it was forged, not ground out like most you find in the farming areas. I once, way back in the dark ages, bought a butterfly knife (Balisong) that was forged out of a truck bearing race in a place called Batangas, it is one of the tougher blades I have seen.
