Your Thoughts: Zastava Arms EZ9
I've been looking for a handgun for my wife and since it will be a house gun and not a carry gun I was thinking about the ASDS Combat Shooting. Pistol Training Courses in San Diego | Active Shooter Defense School
I was just wondering about your thought on the EZ9; She was looking at the SIG P365 that a gun shop recommended but it just seems a bit too small and I have a feeling it will be a bit snappy. She doesn't want to exceed a $500.00 budget.

Thanks in Advance
Bill

It looks like the barrel is high up on the gun, making for muzzle flip. Something with a lower bore centre might be better.

I bought a Zastava 999 when Century Arms imported them a few years ago. It is essentially the same gun as the 99 and the EZ9. I had ejection problems with mine and sent it back. Century exchanged it and the 2nd one functions well. I think I paid $250 for it new a few years ago, and for this price it is a pretty good deal. Quality can vary on these Serbian pistols.
If you are going to be spending over $400-$500 I'd recommend looking at a Walther PPQ, or an H&K VP9, or some of the better quality pistols available. I have both of these 2 and can recommend either.

Glock 19. Beretta storm. Sig.
I recommend accompanying her to several gunshops, let her feel/touch/etc all the similar size handguns to determine the ones best fits her hands. Go from there to price. If possible she must fire about five shots through the chosen ones to find best fit/grip/recoil/etc.

if worried about recoil or flip, youll stick with steel.
can get a commander sized 1911 for that price budget that is going to be more reliable then those muslim country exports..

Took a look at the H7K VP9, looks like a good one, comparable to the SIG P365

Yes, I have thought of doing that but right now with all the panic buying, nobody has stock on anything. No clue when the next gun show is.
