Seems a little bit of cruel joke, but inviting the boys (and girls) from Greenpeace to participate and giving them instruction on ship assaults might save a lot more whales than ramming rubber boats into steel whalers. But, I am in favor of more direct action to cure a lot of the world's problems. Just olf fashioned that way I guess. Whaling an animal that is closer kin to us than a lot of the endangered species just doesn't make any sense at all. There once was a practical side to whaling, but kerosene and synthetic lubricants seem to have made it unnecessary. Preserving a traditional food of the Japanese at the expense of such a magnificent species is simply criminal. But, they are our allies and you know the rest........
