Yes the M2 was select fire. It had a switch on the left side to select between semi auto and full auto fire.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

Actually, no. If it's stamped M2 on the receiver ring, it's a machinegun. That's according to 'the man'.

You actually made me get out of my chair and recheck mine to see if I had yours, so thank you for giving me a reason to take it out of the safe. Unfortunately, mine is 831,xxx but I will keep an eye out for it at the auctions and gun shows when they resume.

At this time it is not on the CMP Forum's Serial number list on page 43. But worth watching because they still update it as SN's are reported.
