I just heard back from them. The bore was described as "only good". I've asked for some explanation of exactly what that means. They require a C&R or I'd imagine an FFL to ship.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Most likely, despite its antique status, it's on the fellows FFL book. I run into that a lot. Put in for a C&R but they're holding it, waiting for me to come up with court documents showing the final disposition of a disorderly conduct in 1976! Bunch of jumping through hoops, I told them they should have to prove there's a reason not to issue, here it is 7 months later and I'm still waiting.

They are kind of cryptic with the "only good" description of the bore and the FFL only policy is added expense. NRA good would have sounded more promising, but the bore may just need a good cleaning, who knows? I would see what thier return policy was before I bought it.

Hopefully, things work out with your C&R Andiarisaka. Strange how they are dwelling on something so trivial from 33 years ago!

Thanks Marine, I couldn't much remember it myself. It was initially a resisting arrest, I guess I didn't wake up quick enough to suit the officer that was trying to get me out of my car in front of my girlfriend's house. It wouldn't even be in the computer but I had to get a waiver in 78 when I joined the Air Force. The clerk finally got back from the basement and I've sent it to the licensing center.
