That's an interesting triple mag tape up job the guy with all the jewelry has going on there haha. Not sure why he has them taped up that way because from the way it looks ,the mag that's already inserted into the rifle is the only one usable with that configuration. He would have to untape the other two to use them

There is "cast" and "cast"
Pouring raw iron into a sand mould will produce one type of product; vacuum investment casting of modern alloys is a whole different thing..
The Ruger "Pine Trees Casting" facility is right at the pointy-end of modern casting. They pioneered and perfected the art of investment casting Titanium,; they are not fooling around.
The beauty of the process is that you can cast shapes that ere difficult / expensive to machine, then precision-machine critical "working surfaces. With modern tooling, this can be done with hardened parts with relatively thin section. MUCH less maddening to precision machine / grind a pre-hardened, small, "rough" shape to final dimensions then to harden a finish-machined delicate component without distorting it.

Update! Wow, I LOVE this AK! Took it to the range to check it out. The sights were so well regulated that with the rear leaf on 200, I was breaking clay pigeons on the 100 yard berm with a 6 o'clock hold. I did not have to adjust a thing. It ate everything I fed it, including my handloaded H4198 loads using 125 grain, .308" diameter Hornady OTMs at 2550 fps.It liked all my assorted poly and steel magazines. Definitely a keeper! It was as dead on as my Mini-30 with the handloads.
