Has anyone every seen a valid reference to a Type 99 (7.7) Carbine?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Supposedly there were a small number of "short barreled" T-99 Carbines found at wars end at the Jinsen Arsenal in Korea. I've never personally held one, have seen a photo or two. I think "Military Rifles of Japan icon

" by Fred Honeycutt has a photo of one.

Thanks, Ive got that book and checked but I didnt find what I needed. Ive got a resource who says hes got one. We shall see!

I have only seen drawings of the real Jinsen carbine . A real one would be illegal to own unless registered as a SBR . There are a few home made Type 99 carbines out there .

The "T99 carbine" this guy has is has a barrel longer than 16". I suspect its privately modified.
