Does anyone have a 7.62 Sterling Catalogue and an RSAF Enforcer Brochure they can sent me photographs of in big MB files? I have an Envoy one personally but I am lacking the other two for my 7.62 chapters in my No. 4 book.
I am also looking for photographs of authentic examples of each if anyone has them in their photo banks!
Never but I will be printing fewer copies this time as I put out feelers last time for interested people and was left hanging. (Yes book 1 & 2 are still available and taking up room in my closet!!) There will be two books this time, hopefully. The Rifle No. 4/5 and the Rifle No. 4 T's.... I had to split the book as I have over 500 pages and I am not done!
It has kept me busy and I have learned a lot. Hopefully I can pass down what I have learned to the next generation.
I am travelling at the moment and not back home until October. I have a lot of Enforcer info and pictures as I got part way thru writing a book on them. I found out some information which I would not be allowed to publish (very detrimental to the Police and the UK Government) which would have left a huge 'hole' in the history and use of the Enforcer so I gave up on the book.
I'm working on my phone at the moment and limited data but happy to talk more in October.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...
Lance, you probably remember my wonderful wife bought copies of your first two books as Christmas presents for me. I've thoroughly enjoyed them and will definitely purchase any new books you author.
The police Enforcer 'user handbook' was written by Major George Sxxxxs an Intelligence Officer based at '....somewhere'. This was as a result of their on-loan No4T's being withdrawn and returned to military stocks due to the shortage of decent No4's to convert to L42 spec.
