Extra "wide rb"
Has anyone noticed that this receiver has an extra wide rib on the left side, less than a dozen receivers have been found with this extra wide rib

Follow up to the 7th round issue. After a good cleaning of the ribs they show to have been fixed but the top of the ribs have been banged up or peined for some reason. Wishful thinking on my part but atleast I have a prewar receiver. Have to wait til I get it together and see if the fix still works or not. But for $100 I'll still keep it.

So the 7th round modification was done on only the clip latch side of the receiver correct? Was there any modifications to the Op Rod Side?

Look closely at the picture, compare the rib to one of your rifles. Open your eyes WIDE,the difference is staring right at you.
