RIA Bolt ID
Is this a RIA bolt? It came off one of the low # RIA M1903's that I bought from the South Store. I cannot see any markings on the bolt except a punch mark on the bottom of the bolt handle. Here are a few pictures:

Did you look on all sides of the safety lug (halfway up the bolt "body")?

Early Rock Island bolts are generally devoid of markings except for a tiny subinspector's letter which may be stamped underneath the bolt handle. The subinspector's letter may not always be visible.
Hope this helps.

Yes, there is some sort of marking on the safety lug, but I can't tell what it is. Maybe a couple of lines or something?

According to John's bolt chart (which should be on the "favorites" list of all M103 enthusiasts!), there is an "I" bolt and an I 11 (or 1 II?) on the bottom of the safety lug. The "I" bolt dates from @ 1909, the I II from @ 1917.
