I'm trying to locate an M1 bolt disassembly tool to purchase. Any suggestions? Thanks,

bolt tool.
I have not looked but I would expect you could get one from FUlton Armory or Orion 7 or maybe CMP. They make the job much easier.

Brownells has them. Go to http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=9...SASSEMBLY_TOOL for more info. Also Fulton Armory has the tool listed on their web site.

Based on price and previous dealings, looks like Brownells in the way to go. Thanks,

you can do it with the Garand Combo tool

Hello is there a web page with photos on how to do this using the combo tool? I own the tool but many parts are a mystery to me.
Thanks for your time...at 66 should be in the ofc!

Buy the tool. Its a two second job and if you move the cotter pin to the forward hole it also works on a M14. No muss, no fuss and no flying, and dinged up parts. If you took Garands and M14s apart for a living (ie US Army or USMC Armorer) that is what would have been in your tool box.
Talk nice to Bill, I bet he has a few stashed away. Thats where I bought mine. Twenty five+ years ago.
