I just recieved my new (to me) inland carbine from the CMP. Rack grade, 6digit serial number.
I'm a garand guy and don't know alot about carbines. The stock is rather beat up with FAJ cartouche on the right side. Someone also drilled two holes in the left side of the stock. I'm either going to try and refinish this one (as it looks very dry/drift wood in appearence) or sell it and get a DGR stock. Are these stocks common with this cartouche?
When was the inland made? I'm assuming it's an earily one due to the serial number 222xxx.
I'll have to order one of the war baby books but just wondering when the rifle was made. Overall, this is the most beat up rifle I have recieved from the CMP to date. I'm not going to complain though.Information
