Unknown 1903 Stock marking

It a stock for a 1903 or an '03A3? That sort of thing matters. It may be commercial too.
Hard to tell exactly what the left picture is. Isn't about the picture though. You take a good picture.

The stock in the photo is inletted for the Model 1903 and 1903A1 receiver, the Models 1903A3 &A4 do not have the radius contour around the
front receiver trigger guard screw. The 1903A3 & A4 have a rectangular shape and will not fit the stock in the photo.

I would think the stock marking are something to do with the manuafacture

this stock is on auction and I am looking for an original to equip my SA 1903.
The seller describes it as a stock for 1903A3 of WW2 origin, but it seems very new and has no other markings than those presented.
Here are the last pics, what would you do dear members?

The stock in your photos is only for the Model 1903A3 or 1903A4 and not the Model 1903.

A new stock as original military surplus should have some markings such as the 1903A3 stock in my photos. Most of the 1903A3 stocks had brass pins not stock boltsAttachment 101586Attachment 101587Attachment 101588Attachment 101589

excuse me if I'm wrong, it seemed to me that we can mount a 1903 in an "S" stock of 1903A3 but not the opposite, can you confirm?
I ask the question because my 1903 was delivered with a scant stock of 1903A3.

The stock in your photos is only for the Model 1903A3 or 1903A4 and not the Model 1903.

I think this quote was made in error, as any A3 stock can house a M1903. The handguard, on the other hand, is for the A3 only.

I'd bet money the stock in question was made by Remington during its manufacture of the M1903. They used some odd little geometric shapes for various inspector stamps.

I see no relief for the A3 handguard ring. Look closely at the area milled for the recoil lug. As already noted, the front corners are rounded, which will not except the square cornered A3 recoil lug. Remington's entire M1903 production was a transition, to cut cost and manufacturing time. Early rifles have a very scalloped recoil lug like those of SA and RIA. Later rifles have just the front corners shaved off. I'm guessing very late production Rem M1903's will have the square recoil lug like an A3. I have a SA made Scant stock with the same recoil lug recess as the OP's stock in question. Won't except an A3. These early Scant stocks are said to have been made in '42.

Mike, your right on the stocks and because I would never put a 1903 into a 1903A3 stock, I made the wrong statement, they do fit. I do have a NOS 1942 Rock Island scant stock for the 1903 or 1903A1 barreled action. It even has two regular stock bolts too.
