I bought two Vickers guns because I thought they looked great. Sold one and kind of regret it. They are
the go to gun for filling a corner

You could just buy it and say as you walk through the front door " I'm home, you not going to believe what followed me home tonight." go from there but I do suggest you have a plan B strategy in place........

I bought myself a NZ L2A1 LMG for Christmas, I would add with the full support of Mrs Clark (bless her), however, I feel I would be sticking my head way above the trench line with the Vickers, just begging to be shot at!!
Edit, Mrs Clark has "reminded me", it was in fact a Christmas present from her!

In the highly unlikely scenario that one of our generous members has bought me the Vickers, I am happy to make it forum property, bags I have it first, then it can go to our 30,000 members in turn on a 1 month rotation..

I remember, as a young lad, I wanted an airgun which my mother forbade. Always being one to think "outside the box" my solution to this minor set-back was to get my Gran to purchase it for me. You wouldn't believe how angry my mother was when she found out because my brother grassed me up.

Cheers Vincent, much appreciated, I will pack a suitcase full of .303 and book a flight!
Joking aside, I appreciate the offer and would love to see your great collection one day mate.
Cheers John

I had one in my front room when I lived in Cumbria, I will see if I've still got the picture...... a girlfriend at the time thought it was a bit strange, my reply was I found it strange no one else in the village had one......
