Did some searching during the weekend. All I found were two upper fore stock caps with the CCM marking. And one of those was on a heavily repaired front hand guard which I think was of Britishicon Mfg. The other CCM top front nose cap was on a handguard with the "LB" marking which would indicate that Long Branch fabricated the part using the CCM subcontracted part. (Have photos, but haven't uploaded them yet.)

Haven't done any complete teardowns during the search, but prospects aren't promising so far in finding any other bits. Nothing in the spares.

I have two Longbranch rifles that have CCM marked front nose caps, I'll have to take a closer look to see if there are any other marked parts.. Plenty of other things in the house that are marked CCM tho

I had a CCM bicycle back in the 70's growing up in Winnipeg and a real nice pair of Tacks

The only verified CCM component so far:

Attached to a Long Branch marked front handguard:

    Nothing on the rear reinforce:

( Wildly OT; but the lettering forced a "right is front" format, which somehow annoys the snot out of me! Default for aviation engine drawings is "left is front".)

Y'know... if you hadn't mentioned that, I never would have thought about it (I work for an airline). And now it's going to bother me!!

Pretty sure I have seen some early bands with CCM. I recently spotted the CCM on some other gun parts as well, but I'll be darned if I can remember what right now. I'll have to do a search around the gunroom and see.

It would seem I've found my candidate. Be a week or two before it gets to me, but I'll be sure to share

So it took a bit more than the anticipated week, but I finally have the rifle. It is non-import marked and also has NZicon acceptance stamps and secondary serial numbers. Both the handguard and forearm nosecaps are CCM stamped (though I only have a picture of the handguard at the moment).

My unserialed 1941 LB Mk I has the CCM stamped foreend cap, as do some (but not all) of my 1942 and 1943 Long Branches. Have to look at my 44s and 45s, but I can't find the key to that cabinet at the moment.
