Any idea upon the value of that rifle? Planning to sell all of my small bore Enfields (No. 2 Mk IV Lithgowicon, No. 9, No. 8 and this one) as I need the space.

    Thanks,

    Georg

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Check Peter L's comments on value, you give us an idea of what you want for them, and someone will say ok, may offer less, or may be willing to bid more.
Value is something that only has meaning to someone wanting something.
The big problem is that we are all growing older, if these items are not passed on to like minded people, than the son of a son down the line will have no interest and our valued/priceless pieces will be scrapped or sold off as bits, then maybe the parts would be collected at great expense to refurbish another bitzer.
