    Nice storage rack but...

Dear Son, What do you do about moisture/humidity control? Usually when it's hot as it is now the humidity is low but how do you keep the guns from rusting??? Inquiring minds will want to know!

It will be worth the trouble once I get it done. Here's a pic of it in the yard... time to get back to it.

Gee thanks for reminding me how much I hate winter. It is only -11 but wish I had the +41 problem.

    Happy New Year

Seems that temperatures and weather are the main concern everywhere at the moment. I know from our daily (sometimes hourly) international news reports that big areas of the US, Canadaicon and the UKicon are suffering from extremes in all sorts of conditions from floods to driving rain and mudslides and then the blizzards- seems like half the northern hemisphere is under a thick layer of snow. Down here, Queensland is going to be renamed Queenslake any day now. I don't know if any of our guys are caught up in the floods there...

Our thoughts go out to all who are having anything less than a happy xmas/ new year season.

Happy New Year Son and everyone else out there in Forumland. I see Qld has bad flooding at the moment and I also saw Rockhampton on our Pommie news. The very Rockhampton that I know well from my time there. Couldn't happen to a better place!

Snow and cold are normal for most Canadians during our winter. The eastern seaboard of North America, especially the northern US is getting hit pretty hard this year. If it weren't for the amount of snow, it really wouldn't be different from other years.
Enfield303t is a whoosey, he wears a heavy coat while suntanning because he's cold.

North America is steadily increasing it's populations. Many of the areas were only news worthy because they just aren't used to the huge amounts of snowfall and their local governments just don't have the equipment to clean it off the roads fast enough. If you've ever gone through deluges of snow, it's every bit as inhibiting and dangerous as flooding but in different ways.
I feel sorry for those folks. I can understand their frustration. As for Canadaicon, we are mostly prepared for the worst so our roads were opened much faster. The killer is when they lose electricity. In many cases, their furnaces need electricity to run as do the pumps that supply water to the communities. No heat, no water = danger. People do foolish things to warm up their houses and melt snow to drink. Suffocation is a real danger as is fire. Emergency facilities are also very limited. Overall though most people handle it all very well.

I find it hard to believe only one person has died in the Queensland flooding. That flooding is similar to the flooding from Hurricane Katrina in Florida.

I hope all is well for those in OZ right now. It sounds like the flooding will actually get worse for the next few days, until the water levels actually peak.

Funny thing that- lots of people I worked with have similar views to Rocky...

Back to my shed... I've got the rack on the wall, the HT chest sitting in it, and I'm going to pose up a nice portrait of my HT's with all their bits and pieces first thing in the morning. Gotta work the aiming stand in somehow otherwise Lithy won't have anything to have a go at me about.
